If you’re looking for a very special high-mountain experience in Georgia, one that mixes epic e-bike riding with unforgettable alpine trekking, this 8-day adventure is made for you.
Designed for fit riders and hikers with a taste for raw wilderness, this tour takes you deep into some of the most remote and breathtaking corners of the Caucasus Mountains. We start at the entrance to Tusheti National Park, one of Georgia’s most iconic and untouched regions, and spend several days exploring villages, ridgelines, and panoramic trails.
From Tusheti, we push higher into the mountains and cross the legendary Atsunta Pass (3,512 m), an ancient trading and shepherd route that leads us into Khevsureti, home of medieval towers, rugged terrain, and unique highland culture.
After traversing Khevsureti by trail, we enter our final region, Khevi, by hiking over the dramatic Chaukhi Pass (3,338 m), standing beneath the jagged Chaukhi Seven Peaks. The journey ends in Juta and eventually in Kazbegi, surrounded by one of the most famous views in all of Georgia, Mt. Mkinvartsveri (5,047 m).
For the first three days, we ride deep into Tusheti on high-end full-suspension E-bikes, flowing through ancient villages, alpine meadows, and untouched valleys of Tusheti National Park.
Our riding terrain combines smooth double jeep roads, flowing descents, and big views with open mountain horizons. Along the way, we explore cultural and natural highlights, including: Upper Omalo, Ruins of Diklo fortress, Bochorna – the highest permanently inhabited settlement in Europe, UNESCO heritage village Dartlo and village Girevi where the road ends and the hiking trail begins.
From Girevi, we leave the bikes behind and continue on foot toward Atsunta Pass, while our trusted horseman carries tents, sleeping bags, and luggage. After crossing Atsunta pass and arriving in Ardoti, we reunite with our support vehicle and begin the second part of our adventure toward Kazbegi (Khevi region). We will visit some of the most iconic landmarks of Khevsureti: Medieval tower villages Shatili and Mutso, the eerie Necropolis of Anatori and stunning Datvisjvari pass, which we cross by e-bikes. This day ends at a cozy guesthouse in Roshka, setting us up for our final and most dramatic ascent.
Our last major trekking day takes us over the legendary Chaukhi Pass (3338 m). This is one of the most scenic trails in the Caucasus, a full day of epic alpine hiking with breathtaking views on both sides of the ridge. The trail finishes in the quiet mountain settlement of Juta, nestled beneath the spires of the Chaukhi Seven Peaks, where we connect with our driver and continue to Kazbegi for a well-deserved night’s rest.
On the eighth and final day, we wrap up the adventure with a relaxed but unforgettable e-bike ride through the stunning Truso Valley, a land of colorful travertine formations, ancient stone villages, a sparkling mineral lake, and quiet wild beauty.
An unforgettable finish to one of the most unique MTB and trekking tours in Georgia, crossing Tusheti, Khevsureti, and Kazbegi in a single epic journey.
