If you want to visit Georgia and explore the high Caucasus mountains, visiting Tusheti by mountain bike is a great idea. Tusheti is a remote region in the northeastern part of Georgia, accessible only for seven months of the year, from late May to mid-October. During the rest of the year, the road to Tusheti is closed due to heavy snow on Abano Pass (2826m), the only route into this stunning region. The amazing flora and fauna, towering mountains, winding rivers, and ancient villages come together to create a perfect setting to lose yourself in the mysterious world of Tusheti and experience one of the most memorable moments of your life.
Together, we will ride across the passes and villages via jeep roads, which are not too technical and are comfortable for riders of all levels. We will descend from high passes to river streams, crossing pine forests with breathtaking views of ancient villages. We always have the option to ride only the descending parts of our routes and take 4×4 support vehicles to the top.
During our tour, we will experience life in ancient villages, meet the warm and hospitable locals, taste delicious regional food, and most importantly, immerse ourselves in the ancient cultural traditions of the Tushetian people.
