If you want to visit Georgia and explore the Caucasus high mountains, riding on the shepherd single trails of Tusheti is a great idea. Tusheti is a remote region in the north-east part of Georgia and only reachable for seven months of the year from late May to the middle of October. during the rest of the time, road to Tusheti is closed due to the high snow on Abano pass (2826m) which is the only way to drive this gorgeous region. Amazing flora and fauna, heights of beautiful mountains, dancing rivers and ancient villages are great combinations to get lost in the mysterious world called Tusheti and experience one of the most memorable moments of your life.
This tour is a similar to Wild enduro adventure in Tusheti and instead of entering the region from Abano pass (2826m) we will be doin this via Atsunta pass (3430m) from Shatili which is a very challenging pass for both, climbing and descending. We have to be well prepared in endurance and cardio, also we have to be ready for hours of pushing bicycles on climb sections and for descending on a very technical switchbacks of Atsunta and Nakaicho passes.
While on our tour, we will experience living in ancient villages with lovely and very hospitable local people, have a very tasty local food and most importantly, experience very old cultural traditions of Tushetian people.
*Crossing Atsunta pass is only allowed from early July to early September. For the rest of the time pass is closed due to the high snow.*
